Hi, I'm Taylor Sengstack.
I’m a Nashville-based photographer and cyanotype artist who uses sunlight, botanicals, film transparencies, and iron-based chemistry to create stories in shades of blue. My work captures the fragility of nature and the environments that sustain us. In my current series, “The Garden,” I repurpose failed wet cyanotypes as backdrops for joyful, collaged landscapes.
Invented in 1842, the cyanotype process uses sunlight and iron-based chemistry to create images in beautiful shades of blue.
